Eric De Guili

"Eric De Giuli is a theoretical physicist and generative artist based in Canada. His work explores self-organization and the emergence of complexity in the universe, blending scientific inquiry with artistic expression. He holds an Honours B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Toronto, and an M.Sc. in Geophysics and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of British Columbia. De Giuli is currently an Assistant Professor of Complexity Physics at Toronto Metropolitan University." - Le Random

Zero (Broken Symmetry)

"In Zero (Broken Symmetry), Eric De Giuli transforms digital zero, a value that appears empty but contains imperceptible fluctuations too small to register in ordinary use, into vivid, evolving forms. Each work is generated live, its randomness drawn from the unique hardware environment on which it runs. As such, what appear at first to be uniform bands gradually destabilise, breaking apart into fluid-like structures whose behaviours never repeat. Colour plays a central role, with vibrant hues colliding and mixing to create unexpected harmonies. Patterns unfold gradually as new relationships between motion, form, and colour emerge. By amplifying instabilities from digital zero, Zero (Broken Symmetry) stages creation itself – unstable, unpredictable, and endlessly unfolding." - Verse

Pax

"Landscape photography in address space. Artist- and collector-curated hashes & vantages." - ArtBlocks

Atlas

"Atlas is a collection of interactive abstract kinetic paintings illustrating the paradoxical unity of living creatures. Beneath a dynamic but integrated whole, competing cells bubble in disquiet. As perhaps we all do. Colour is used to represent the cellular dynamics, each piece evolving under its own laws. Cells are rendered in various palettes and several shapes - from round to square, luminous, and Escher-like. Zooming in you can see the wild nature of individual elements. 'Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself. I am large; I contain multitudes.'" - ArtBlocks

cathedral study

"cathedral study is a series of experimental, generative, living paintings. Continually evolving pixelated landscapes evoke ruins, fantastical cityscapes, and cathedrals." - PROOF
